Our Services : HERS Ratings
A Home Energy Rating is a powerful tool used to evaluate the performance of a home. The HERS rating process can be beneficial to anyone looking to evaluate the impacts of a home’s energy performance. Builders, Homeowners, Realtors, Utility Companies, Governmental Organizations, and Lenders can use the information and reports from a HERS rating to compare various buildings. The HERS rating index is a standard measure of a home’s energy efficiency and is an easy to understand index that allows one to quickly compare the overall performance of a home. The HERS index indicates a home’s performance compared to the2004 International Energy Conservation Code. Each change from 100 indicates a 1% change. So a home that is 15% better than this standard would have a HERS index or 85(the minimum for ENERG STAR). A home using no energy would have a HERS index of 0.
